We've been waiting patiently for news of ITV's upcoming drama Quiz which tells the story of the infamous Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? coughing scandal.

Now, ITV has released a trailer for the series - and it looks *so* good.

Most of us will remember that scandal, which saw Brit Charles Ingram cheat his way to the top cash prize by coughing on the ITV quiz show.

In September 2001, Charles managed to bag a whopping £1 million. He managed it with help from his wife Diana and friend Tecwen Whittock, who were both sitting in the studio audience and coughing to indicate the correct answers.

When the trio, from Wiltshire, were caught and charged with fraud two years later, it was one of the biggest telly scandals of all time - so it makes sense that ITV would make a gripping three-part series on the drama.

In the trailer, which ITV released this afternoon, we see Charles Ingram (played by Matthew Macfadyen) as well as Diana Ingram (Sian Clifford) plotting the scandal.

The series will follow how the trio came up with the idea as well as recreating the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire episode itself. In the trailer, Diana can be seen vigorously and suspiciously coughing, while viewers also get a shot of the couple's pal Tecwen Whittock (Michael Jibson).

We also see Charles and Diana being questioned by the police, who ask the contestant why he continuously changed his mind over the answers.

"That's what the producers wanted, it's the [...] tension [and] drama," the couple explain.

It will be directed by globally-renowned Stephen Frears (A Very English Scandal) and promises to give an inside look at what went on backstage and how it was uncovered.

In the trailer, ITV announce viewers can expect the drama "this April" meaning we only have *weeks* to wait.
