People Are Calling For 'I'm A Celebrity' To Start Earlier

"Just think it's a bit selfish of ITV expecting people to be awake at 9pm for I'm a celeb tbh"

There are so many reasons to love I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, from its unbeatable concept to the celebrity exclusives and the iconic duo that is Ant and Dec.

But one of these is not the start time.

Bosses across the country are being faced with low productivity and sleepy employees as fans who are staying up to watch aren't getting to sleep until after 10pm.

We're all about as sleepy as James Haskell in the mornings thanks to 'I'm A Celeb' (

A tweet by fan Heaven Rose summed up our feelings: "Just think it's a bit selfish of ITV expecting people to be awake at 9pm for I'm a celeb tbh," it read. [sic]

The post has since been liked over 40,000 times, with hundreds of fans chiming in with their agreement that the ITV1 show starts too late.

"i thought it was just me who can't stay up but looks like loads of people agree so i don't feel like a granny now," tweeted one person.

"Hahaha we've had this debate in work today it's far too late for us," agreed another.

"8-9 would be far more reasonable!!" suggested a third.

"I'm a celeb is on too late man, im literally tucked in bed waiting for it to come on and it's not even 8pm yet fgs," echoed another.

To be fair to the I'm A Celeb crew, their live broadcast begins at 7am local time. Australia is 10 hours ahead meaning if the show started at 7pm or 8pm, they'd have to go live at 5am or 6am.

According to The Mirror, Ant and Dec's call time is at 2am - yes 2am! - already, so we can hardly expect the duo to get up any earlier, can we?

And that's all before we get to the celebrities. Imagine asking them to be up, ready and dressed to find out who's facing the trails that early?! Ian Wright would have a fit.

And guys, hey, there's always catch-up.
