I Care A Lot is the movie that everybody's talking about at the moment.
Penned by Kidnapping Stella writer, J Blakeson, the film stars Gone Girl actress Rosamund Pike in the lead role as Marla Grayson - an evil and yet insatiably captivating villain, who abuses her power as a court-appointed guardian to steal from the elderly, including mafia family mother, Jennifer Peterson.
When her mobster son turns up, you can imagine the drama that ensues and people are branding the storyline that follows "insane" and "incredible".

But there's something else people seem to be captivated by while watching the film...
Didn't Jennifer play Peg Boggs in Edward Scissorhands?!
Yep, Jennifer is played by actress Dianne Wiest, who is famed for having played Kim's mother, Peg, in the Johnny Depp fronted movie.

When you see it you really can't un-see it.
Avon lady Peg is the one who takes Edward in after discovering he's virtually homeless after a door-step visit to his Gothic mansion, and gives him a chance at a normal life.
"The little old lady in I Care A Lot is the mom from Edward Scissorhands. I knew she looked familiar...," wrote one fan after watching the movie.

Meanwhile, another penned: "The old lady jennifer peterson from i care a lot (2021) was in edward scissorhands... the parallel".
"You ain't playing that sweet a*s mother from Edward Scissorhands," a third joked.

Dianne is also known for her performances in Hannah and Her Sisters and Bullets Over Broadway, and even won Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars.
You might also notice her as D.A. Nora Lewin in Law & Order.
She isn't the only famous face in the film, in which Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage also stars as her son, and Gone Girl's Pike takes the lead.
The film follows Marla as she cons the lonely old people - who often have nobody else - by moving them into care homes before it is needed and then pocketing the money from their properties, as well as their inheritances when they die.
In a review of the Amazon Prime movie, The Guardian describe her actions as a "window display of pure predatory wickedness," but one thing is for sure - it's the sort of drama you can't look away from, however much you might want to.

But when Dinklage's character Roman Lunyov turns up to check on his mother, Marla may have met her match...
