Hugh Grant has revealed that he found the iconic dance scene from Love Actually 'excruciating' to film.

Arguably, it isn't Christmas until we've seen Hugh Grant whip off his tie and dad-dance around Number 10 to 'Jump (For My Love)' by the Pointer Sisters.

And if you say you don't have the urge to dance along with him, then you're not the only one - Hugh has revealed it was the most difficult scene to film.

Speaking to MSN, the actor revealed the reason behind why he found that scene so 'excruciating'.

Hugh said: "Do I remember anything from filming? I mean, there was the horror of that scene where I had to dance around.

"I suspect that was the most excruciating scene ever committed.

"It wasn't easy for an Englishman in his 40s to do at 7 in the morning, stone-cold sober."

Hugh also questioned why the film was still so popular, although added that it was nice it was such a beloved Christmas movie even now.

Earlier this year, Hugh's co-star Martine McCutcheon ruled out the possibility of another Love Actually, after most of the cast reunited for a special Comic Relief short sequel.

While appearing on This Morning, Martine said: "Of course as a jobbing actress I would love to do it, I'd love to be with that amazing cast again.

"But I think [Richard Curtis] kind of did it with the Comic Relief and the film together, that was Richard Curtis's dream come true I think.

"I can't speak for him, but I think."

Despite a sequel looking unlikely, you can still watch the festive film as many times as you want as it was recently added to Netflix.
