Matthew McConaughey has teased the possibility of a How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days sequel, and we're *so* here for it.

The actor, 51, spilled the tea on E!'s Daily Pop when he was quizzed about the possibility of the film - in which he starred alongside Kate Hudson - returning for a second instalment.

"Possibly...," he coyly replied.

He then elaborated: "I mean, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is teed up, you know, teed up for one that you could easily do a sequel.

"And that was a really good one. As far as romantic comedies go, that was a really good one.

"And it lasts! People still love that one. I enjoyed that one quite a bit."

The 2003 flick brought us hilarious scenes such as the death of the love fern, iconic (and totes emosh) lines like "Can't lose something you never had", and fashion moments such as Andie Anderson's iconic lemon yellow revenge dress.

In case you need a recap, the film follows Benjamin Barry (McConaughey), an advertising exec and ladies' man, who makes a bet that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days in order to win a big campaign.

But his plans run are scuppered when he happens to choose Andie Anderson (Hudson), a magazine writer with her own agenda. Andie is currently working on a feature, 'How To Lose A Guy in 10 days', driving her target away with 'classic mistakes' women make in relationships.

What ensues is a whole lot of hilarious drama, mixed signals and bubbling under the surface, a genuine connection between Andie and Ben.

Speaking in a recent interview with Elle, Kate Hudson also didn't rule out the possibility of the movie returning.

"I've always thought about what Matthew and I's characters would be now, if we were still together," she said.

"It's actually probably a good amount of time [that has passed] to make a movie about it. We probably would have gotten married with kids. We're probably miserable right now!"

While no official sequel is in the works as of yet, with both of the leads keen we're hoping it won't be long.

Miserable or not, we sure want to see what Ben and Andie are up to!
