There's lots to love about Christmas, but facing a barrage of questions from relatives is not one of them.

From being probed about your career, to getting quizzed about your finances, family time during the festive period can sometime feel like an assault course.

But without a doubt the worst thing to be asked about is your love life - especially when there's nothing to report.

Now, a new TV series deals with this very Christmas dilemma, and all single girls will relate.

Home For Christmas, an Norwegian original coming to Netflix, tells the story of Johanne, 30-year-old woman who gets fed up with being the only single girl around the dinner table, and her family's incessant questions about her love life.

On a whim, Johanne lies to her family about having a boyfriend and embarks on a 24 day hunt to find one so she can bring his home for Christmas.

"Johanne finds herself at 30 years old to be the only one among friends and family without a partner. The constant comments on her single life and society's expectations of the perfect family Christmas finally gets to her. Johanne starts a 24 day hunt for a partner to bring home for Christmas," reads the synopsis.

A teaser tailer for the rom-com series, starring Ida Elise Broch (Lilyhammer, Switch), Dennis Storhøi, Anette Hoff and Arthur Hakalahti, was released by the streaming giants today (1st November).

"I want you to find someone and stop being so lonely," Johanne's mum pleads with her.

Other wits end, the singleton says "I'm not that lonely... I have a boyfriend."
