Christmas is a time of giving, sharing and sitting on your couch for a festive movie marathon like no other.
And if you're battling with your nearest and dearest about what yuletide film to watch next then there's no longer a reason to argue as Home Alone has been named the 'Ultimate Christmas Movie' following a new study.
Online marketplace Music Magpie have done the hard yards and found the top 20 festive flicks, using a fairly foolproof method that takes in consideration a plethora of 'festive elements'.
The categories that they measured each film by include the number of Christmas references, the movie's overall financial performance, whether it received critical acclaim and general festive buzz.
After taking all these 'festive elements' into account, Home Alone reigned supreme and you see why.
The 1990 movie follows eight-year-old Kevin McCallister as he's accidentally left behind when his family leaves for France. While he's delighted to have his home all to himself, he soon faces danger when thieves try to break into his home.
And you see why the film came out on top as the Macaulay Culkin starring flick brought in a whopping £728 million ($936,442,849) in the global box office and since its release 29 years ago, it's been searched 51 million times on Google.
You can't really argue those figures!
