This Morning presenter, Holly Willoughby, burst into tears on live television on Monday morning, after a guest's makeover went horribly wrong.
The presenter and her co-host Phillip Schofield had announced to viewers at the head of the show that at some point during the morning, a viewer was getting a glamorous makeover ahead of her school reunion.
This Morning viewer, Carol, was being treated by her husband Pete, who'd nominated her for a makeover on the show.

But the light and happy mood soon shifted when the transformation was aired and had gone horribly wrong.
Carol's once-lovely hair had been transformed into a bouncy, frizzy style and she was dressed in an ill-fitting, pink, crushed velvet dress with white cowboy boots.
Despite the look being questionable, ever-charming hosts, Holly and Phil, were quick to tell her how lovely she looked - only for Carol to start crying and ask for filming to stop.

When the pair asked if she was okay, they looked stunned when Carol confessed she hated the look and no longer wanted to be filmed.
Assisting with the makeover, This Morning regular, Lisa Snowdon, appeared offended.
And in true car-crash-television style (talk about foreshadowing) Carol started to cry and admitted the transformation wasn't what she'd expected.

Holly was keen to comfort Carol and quickly reassured her that there were plenty of alternative outfits for her to choose from in the studio.
But co-host Phil rushed Carol out with her husband Pete claiming the outfit change would have to wait, as they'd been booked in for a meal at a fancy restaurant.
Carol appeared to feel guilty for hating the look after being gifted flowers and a trip around London.

Holly was left reeling as Pete and Carol were shown being driven away only for the car to crash into the building.
Holly looked worried as the producers told them to carry on with the live show without an update on the guests' wellbeing.
Then Phil suddenly turned to a tearful Holly and shouted "April Fools", revealing the entire segment had been set up - including Carol's distress over her new look.
Holly was visibly fighting the urge not to swear at the prankster team, who were all complicit in the trick as she began to cry.

"I can't tell you, that was so awful," she said. "I'm so relieved it wasn't real."
She was then introduced to actors Amy and Leo who played the two unhappy guests.
