You Can Now Play A Hocus Pocus Drinking Game This Halloween

'Bubble, bubble, I'm in trouble.' ...

Honestly, we thought Hocus Pocus couldn't get any better.

But, then, we discovered a boozy drinking game that people are playing while they watch - and, honestly, our Halloween just got 10 times better.

The idea (like with all drinking games) is you take a sip of your tipple of choice whenever key themes crop up, from a spell being cast to any reference to a black flame.

The original movie starred (left to right) Kathy Najimy, Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker (
Disney)

Spotted online by Klaq.com, the game sounds pretty lethal, tbh.

There are three sub-categories: Take a drink when, Finish your drink when and Take a shot when.

And given that one of the prerequisites for taking a shot is 'knowing a line before it's said', we think we'd better buy some more vodka...

If you want to give it a try, the drinking game goes as follows:

Take a drink when:

  • Mary barks
  • Winnie makes a face like she smelled something terrible
  • A spell is cast
  • Any of the witches say "children," "bOOooOk."
  • Someone says "yabos"
  • The black flame candle is referenced

Finish your drink when:

  • Max gets made fun of for being a virgin
  • The sisters are confused by something modern
  • They're singing "I put a spell on you"

And take a shot when:

  • Sarah Sanderson says "amok amok amok amok"
  • You know the line before it's said
  • Binx dies
The Sanderson sisters Winifred, Sarah, and Mary are true icons (
Disney)

In case you need a reminder, Disney favourite Hocus Pocus was released in 1993, and it's acquired a loyal fan base over the years on account of its kooky charm and ace performances.

The movie follows teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) who accidentally awakens three witches, by lighting a cursed 'candle of black flame'.

As fans of the movie will know Max doesn't believe "in all that hocus pocus" - but he soon does, when witches Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy) are awoken from the depths of hell.

Determined to become immortal, the witches are hellbent on sucking the life out of as many children as possible.

We would say drink responsibly, but given these rules, there's pretty much no chance that's possible...
