Sarah Jessica Parker Reveals 'Hocus Pocus' Cast Are All Up For The Sequel

We've been getting SUPER excited about Disney's Hocus Pocus sequel ever since the news was confirmed in March.

However, while the cast has not yet been confirmed, we've been secretly holding out hope that the original Sanderson sisters - Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy - would be reprising their roles.

We've been teased and tormented about the casting (just tell us Disney!!!), but now we Sarah Jessica Parker, who played Sarah in the 1993 original, has given us a strong glimmer of hope.

Speaking on SiriusXM's Radio Andy show, the 55-year-old actress said all three witches are game for the gig.

"I think that it is something Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and I are all very hospitable to the idea," she said.

"I think for a long time, people were talking about it as if people were moving forward with it in a real way but we were unaware of it."

SJP continued: "We've agreed publicly to the right people, yes, that would be a very, very fun idea, so we'll see what the future holds."

It isn't the first time the Sex and the City actress has hinted the original cast members were keen to be involved in the sequel.

In autumn last year, she revealed on Instagram that she, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy had all said yes to returning for the second instalment to the cult classic.

Responding in a comment to one of her followers who asked if there was "any chance of a sequel" she said: "We have all said yes. Now we wait. X"

Meanwhile, Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Rock of Ages and A Walk to Remember) has been announced as the film's director.

Surely this is confirmation enough?! Disney, let the cat out the bag!

For those who need a recap, the 1993 original follows teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) who accidentally awakens three witches, by lighting a cursed 'candle of black flame'.

As fans of the movie will remember, Max doesn't believe "in all that hocus pocus" - but he soon does, when witches Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy) are awoken from the depths of hell.

Determined to become immortal, the witches are hellbent on sucking the life out of as many children as possible.
