How hot is too hot?

Enola Holmes launched on Netflix last week, and it's been getting pretty great reviews ever since.

Starring Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown as Sherlock Holmes' sister Enola, it's based on Nancy Springer's series of books of the same name.

It tells of the day Enola wakes to find that her mother (Helena Bonham Carter) has disappeared. As such, Enola is taken in by her brothers who are both set on sending her away to a finishing school, to make her a 'proper' young woman.

Anyway, we digress. We didn't come here to talk about Millie Bobby Brown (even though she was amazing as Enola) - we're here to talk about the hotness that is Henry Cavill i.e. the new Sherlock Holmes.

In fact, Henry looked so good in the film that people are actually taking to Twitter to say he is TOO HOT for the role.

Thoughts?

Prior to Cavill, the first two Sherlocks who come to mind are Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr. Certainly not unattractive, we would even go as far to say they are both also hot. But are they Henry Cavill hot?

Apparently you lot don't think so.

"Dude this movie's just weird cause Henry Cavill is too hot to play Sherlock Holmes," tweeted one viewer, while another said: "Henry Cavill is too hot to play Sherlock but it's ok bc it balances out Benedict Cumberbatch."

Burn.

"Re: Henry Cavill is too hot. There's always something pedandic [sic] tbh. I remember the days when RDJ was 'too short' and Jonny Lee Miller was too 'not Benedict Cumberbatch.' It'll pass," said a third.

While a fourth tweeted: "Enola Holmes was pretty nice. But Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin were a bit too hot to be Sherlock and Mycroft. Idk if it's just me."

All of this begs the question, is there really a thing as TOO hot? We get it - that smile, that smirk and that jawline are all pretty distracting, but TOO hot? We're not so sure, and luckily there are some of you who agree.

"Sherlock Holmes is already hot with his wit and intelligence but making him more human and casting Henry Cavill makes it EVEN BETTER," tweeted one fan, while another said: "Fully into hot Henry Cavill Sherlock. We've seen the same version of Sherlock Holmes a thousand times. Live a little."

"I realize we have a lot going on tonight, but I need to officially state I am here for Henry Cavill's hot Sherlock Holmes. (Also Enola Holmes was a great movie)," said a third.

Too hot or just hot enough, you decide. We'll be re-watching Enola Holmes in the meantime to help make up our minds.
