‘Haunting Of Bly Manor’ Fans Riled By Girl Repeatedly Saying “Perfectly Splendid”

With the exception of Emily In Paris, we reckon The Haunting Of Bly Manor has to be one of the most talked about Netflix shows right now. So much so, people are basically bingeing the show in one sitting.

However while it's most definitely giving some people the creeps, it's rubbing others up the wrong way due to one little thing - apparently the cast won't stop saying "perfectly splendid" and it's really annoying. Especially little Flora, played brilliantly by nine-year-old Amelie Bea Smith, who seems to say the phrase in pretty much every other sentence.

"If Flora says "perfectly splendid" one more time #TheHauntingofBlyManor" tweeted one user, alongside a gif of a woman looking like she's about to lose her sh*t.

"That Flora girl in The Haunting of Bly Manor is so annoying! If I hear her say "perfectly splendid!" one more time I'm gonna drop kick my TV!" said another, while a third tweeted: "Me messing up and playing a drinking game where I drink when someone says perfectly splendid while watching The Haunting of Bly Manor."

"It's only ten minutes into haunting of bly manor and if I head one more 'perfectly splendid' I'm hitting someone," said a fourth.

Poor Flora - maybe she really does just think everything is perfectly splendid.

While The Haunting of Bly Manor has only just dropped on Netflix, it's already giving fans nightmares, it seems.

Based on Henry James's 1898 novella, 'The Turn of the Screw', this offering is set in the 1980s and also stars Henry Thomas (The Haunting of Hill House) as the children's uncle, while newcomers Amelie Bea Smith and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth play Flora and Miles, Henry's niece and nephew.
