Someone has discovered a deleted scene from Harry Potter that we never knew existed and suddenly everything we thought we knew has been smashed into a million pieces.
Having watched the movies and read the books hundreds of times over, we thought were swotted up on just about everything part of the franchise - but it seems we wer being oh so naive.

HP fan Kristina Marie Claire had been watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - a movie she she says she'd seen "several times" - when up popped a scene she did not recognise.
The scene occurs in the Great Hall as Hogwarts welcomes wizarding schools Durmstrang Institute and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic ahead of the Triwizard Tournament.
Just after the Beauxbaton ladies perform their dance and Durmstrang light some fire, Dumbledore hands the floor to Hogwarts, saying: "Let's entertain our friends in the best way we can."

Wracking your brains for what comes next? Can't quite put your finger on Hogwarts' performance? That's because it doesn't happen in the original movie.
However, in the version Kristina was watching, Harry Potter and his fellow students go on to offer their own welcome entertainment - performing what is apparently their school song, 'Hoggy Warty Hogwarts'.
Dumbledore shouts 'maestro please', and the students launch into lyrics such as: "Whether we be old and bald or young with scabby knees, our heads could do with filling with some interesting stuff, for now they're bare and full of hair, dead flies and bits of fluff."
Anyone else feel like they fell asleep after eating too much cheese?

Kristina posted the madness on TikTok with the caption: "is this a deleted scene or am I going senile?"
The video has since been watched thousands of times and mass confusion continued in the comments.
"Deff don't remember this lol and I was obsessed with Harry Potter," wrote one person. "What the actual ahhhh," said another.

"Yeah 100% a deleted scene they put back in!," opinioned a third.
It's not clear which version Kristina was watching, but someone helpfully explained: "for the tv versions, they added them back in."
While another added: "It's a deleted scene from the movie that actually happened in the book."
Mind. Blown.
