If you've always wanted to join Harry, Ron and the gang in the wizarding world then you might just be in with a chance, as the castle that played Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films is on the hunt for 'trainee wizards' for next season.

Alnwick Castle was used in the film remakes of JK Rowling's Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone as well as Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, and ahead of its March 2021 reopening, the Northumberland landmark is looking to recruit 130 "enthusiastic, positive-minded" people, with roles such as trainee wizard and costumed tour guide up for grabs.

Er, so where do we sign up? The jobs will be advertised in January, so be sure to keep an eye out.

While we're not sure what being a trainee wizard actually entails, staff will be responsible for putting on Harry Potter themed events including broomstick training, and if it means we'll be able to master the expecto patronum by next summer we're sold.

Not just a place for Potterheads, Alnwick Castle was also used in two Downton Abbey Christmas specials as Brancaster Castle, as well as a number of blockbuster films such as Transformers: The Last Knight.

Elsewhere, true fans of the wizarding world are being invited to get into the spirit of things as the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is opening its doors for its annual Hogwarts in the Snow feature.

In exciting news, visitors will be able to explore another of their favourite sets in the snow as Diagon Alley undergoes a wintery transformation for the very first time.

New for 2020, the cobbled stones and magical shops in front of Diagon Alley will be given a festive makeover, draped in layers of filmmaking snow.

Other parts of the iconic set will receive a festive makeover, too, with the Gryffindor Common Room and Boys' Dormitory decorated with the original props including handmade Christmas cards, some of which were created by the cast members during production - see if you can spot any cards made by your favourites.

Tickets are only available to be booked in advance, with the special feature running until Sunday 17th January 2021 - which you can get here.
