Whetting our appetites for what is to come, in the clip, the Little Britain star flashes his recognisable grin as he's seen chatting to Noel and getting in some practice for his future gig on set.
"If my mum came along, she would just follow me about going, Matt, don't eat that. Matt, I'm serious, don't," he jokes.
Before he's tasked with the all-important task of introducing one of the challenges.
After Noel warns, "on your marks, get set..." Matt has the all important job of finishing his sentence, and adding: "Bake!"
(Somehow, he even manages to make that hilarious...)
"That was the moment," Noel jokes, clearly impressed with his new co-star's tekkers.
However, Matt adds that he thinks he still has a "lot of work to do". If that wasn't the finished product we can't wait to see what is!
We're already stanning this iconic duo.
Speaking about the exciting new gig as it was announced, Matt said: "I'm chuffed to bits to be joining the most delicious show on television.
"I can't wait to break bread with Noel, Prue [Leith] and Paul [Hollywood] and meet the brilliant bakers. And bearing in mind my love of cake, I've already ordered some much larger trousers in anticipation. See you in the tent!"
Sharing a picture of his famous Fat Fighters character from Little Britain with a tray of iced buns in hand on Twitter, he simply wrote: "Mood".
Welcoming Matt to the team, Noel said: "I love Matt. I love his warmth and his comedy and his big joyful smile. I think if we play our cards right we could become the next Chas and Morph."
While Paul Hollywood chipped in: "I'm a genuine fan of Matt's, it is such great news he will be joining us in the tent, he's a fantastic addition to the team."
Prue Leith added: "The combination of Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding! Will we stop laughing and get any filming done?"
Matt will no doubt do an incredible job of filling Sandi shoes, given that when it comes to the show's cheeky innuendos and quirky quips, he's already a certified pro.
We hope he doesn't offer anybody any recipe suggestions, though, because it'll likely just be: "Dust... anybody? No?"
