People Are Binge Watching Gossip Girl Before It Comes Off Netflix In January

Fans of Gossip Girl are bingeing the show before the teen drama leaves Netflix in January.

The hit series, which ran from 2007 to 2012, is being taken off the streaming service on the 31st December and it's fair to say that fans are devastated by this news.

"Gossip Girl is leaving Netflix and so am I," wrote one unhappy customer on Twitter.

"What's the point of having Netflix if I won't be able to watch Gossip Girl for the 285th time?" said another.

A third posted: "Taking Gossip Girl off of Netflix is like the cherry on top, F**K 2020!!!!!" and we couldn't agree more.

Meanwhile, other fans were quick to rewatch their favourite show while they still had the chance.

One fan posted "Rewatching Gossip Girl for the 1729303x before they take it off netflix," captioning it with a sad face emoji.

Another fan had only just discovered the show when they also learnt it would be taken off Netflix soon.

"I just started watching Gossip Girl on Netflix and found out that it's gonna be removed from Netflix on 31st Dec! Wth Netflix, 6 seasons with 22 episodes each on average has to be finished in two weeks."

Narrated by an unknown blogger calling themselves 'Gossip Girl', the show follows the lives of several privileged teens in Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Among them are Serena van der Woodsen (played by Blake Lively), Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley).

Before that hits our screens, however, all six seasons of OG Gossip Girl are still available to watch on Netflix, but not for long. XOXO.
