Gordon Ramsay, Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix are back for a brand new Christmas special, Gordon, Gino and Fred: Desperately Seeking Santa.

The "culinary Christmas adventure" is landing on ITV on Wednesday 16th December, and it promises to be as bonkers and full of laughs as ever.

In the special (as you might have guessed from the name) the two chefs and the First Dates maître d are going to be heading to Lapland in their good old RV, on a mission to meet Father Christmas in the flesh.

It's so chilly that Fred's moustache literally freezes, but after the trio's trip to Morocco last year, Gordon is keen to give them a truly festive experience.

Despite a hell of a lot of complaining, Gino is also keen to meet the man himself, seeing as he has a letter from his daughter Mia, which he wants to deliver.

Meanwhile, Fred is more bothered about checking out the Northern Lights.

As well as meeting big man Santa Claus, the trio will be sampling a traditional Finnish sauna, and stuffing in lots of culinary treats, too, including a meal of reindeer meat with Lapland's indigenous Sami people.

Italian stallion Gino will be giving some top tips for those tackling the turkey over the festive season.

Plus, he's got an eyeful in store for us (when doesn't he?!) as he dons a Borat style man-kini in the freezing cold.

The synopsis for the programme reads: "After Gino led them to the deserts of Morocco for last year's mis-adventure, Gordon is determined that they celebrate the season properly this time, so has arranged a boys' trip away before the madness of a family Christmas kicks in, to the ultimate winter wonderland and the official home of Santa."

It's clear the three of them have as much fun making the show as we do watching it, with Fred describing their journeys as "trips of a lifetime."

"I'd love to go out and film another season and visit new places, but I think it'll be a while before we can do that," he told The Guardian. "I've never been to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam, so they would be incredible to visit. I'd also love to go back to South America, where I travelled when I was younger."

Desperately Seeking Santa will air on Wednesday 16th December on ITV at 9pm.

See you on the sofa with some mince pies...
