Makeup fanatics, get your brushes at the ready: Glow Up series 2 lands today!

Yes, the first episode from the second instalment of Stacey Dooley's makeup competition drops on iPlayer from 7pm.

A year after the first instalment made us unhealthily obsessed with perfecting our feline flick, Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star is finally back for round two.

The series will see 10 brand new budding MUAs compete in challenges to earn a name for themselves in the competitive industry.

Announced last week, the cast of hopefuls include a 22-year-old retail assistant with dreams of becoming a brand creative director, a 25-year-old fashion graduate who wants to prove her parents wrong, and a recruitment consultant mum who practices her contouring while looking after her baby.

Returning as host is Stacey Dooley, who will be officiating all the crease-based dramz, as well as tough but lovable industry icons and show judges, Val Garland and Dominic Skinner. There will also be a guest judge each week to help out.

In episode one, viewers will meet the ten aspiring makeup wizards as the series kicks off with their first challenge.

The contestants will be tasked with an assignment from sports fashion retailers JD sports who are shooting their Christmas ad campaign. Here, they'll be following a brief that focussed on brand identity.

Successful MUAs will see their work featured in the global campaign, while those who fail to impress risk starting the following day's challenge in the 'Face Off' chairs which come with a potentially-ruining 15 minute time penalty.

The only way to escape the elimination is to impress the judges in the Creative Brief, which this week will see the contestants asked to create a look on their own face based on identity.

The two who least impress will go head to head in the first elimination skill drill: a bold ombre lip on two identical twins.

Anyone else blocking out their evening plans for this? CAN'T. WAIT.
