'Game Of Thrones' Fans Are Shocked As A Water Bottle Is Spotted In Final Episode

Not so long after the coffee cup mistake, something else has been spotted in Westeros...

Fans are devastated that the final season of Game of Thrones has reached its dramatic finale, but luckily there was some light relief in the form of a rogue water bottle.

A couple of weeks ago it was a random coffee cup that was left on set, leading viewers to question just how close to Westeros the nearest Starbucks was.

And this week, another item was extremely out of place: a plastic water bottle.

The object was spotted by eagle-eyed super fans during a scene from the show's final *ever* episode. It was sitting by the boot of Samwell Tarly during an extremely tense scene, and popped up behind Ser Davos's leg later on in the show.

The coffee cup error a couple of weeks ago, in episode four, spawned a ton of memes and jokes on social media and forced HBO to make a mock apology in a statement, saying: "The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea."

While the mistakes might ruin the verisimilitude for some viewers, HBO clearly don't seem to take it too seriously - they're raking in the viewers either way. They did however edit the coffee cup out for later broadcasts, which it seems likely they'll do for the water bottle, too.

The lack of attention to detail in this season has prompted an outcry, with fans criticising the final season and signing a petition calling for the final episodes to be remade. Regardless, the finale is set to break records for HBO, so who's really winning?

The rogue water bottles pop up a fair few times over several minutes of the episode, but it's unclear who they actually belong to. Whoever it is, we wonder if they've considered a more eco-friendly option? Perhaps a sustainable, Westeros-themed reusable water bottle, like this one?
