Frozen fans admitted they were in tears this evening, as Idina Menzel took to the Oscars stage to perform a powerful rendition of 'Into The Unknown'.

The song, from Disney's Frozen 2 was performed by Idina, alongside nine other international stars who have also played the ice queen from the popular movie.

While Idina portrays Elsa in the US version of Frozen, she was joined by performers from across the globe for the touching musical performance.

The 10-strong choir included Maria Lucia Rosenberg from Denmark, Willemijn Verkaik from Germany, Lisa Stokke from Norway, Takako Matsu from Japan, Kasia Laska from Poland, Carmen Garcia Saenz from Latin America, Anna Buturlina from Russia, Gisela from Spain, and Gam Wichayanee from Thailand.

Idina - who looked incredible in a white satin gown - kicked off the musical performance, before each Elsa took their turn in singing a segment from the hit song.

The beautiful performance didn't go unnoticed by Frozen fans, who took to social media to reveal they had been sobbing at the choir.

One person tweeted: "Wow that Frozen performance was incredible. I am in tears."

While another said: "This international tribute has [had] me close to tears" and one tweeted: "I am now crying. That Frozen around the world was something else!!"

One Disney fan admitted they had "double the tears" over Toy Story 4's Oscar win and the Frozen 2 performance.

"Double the tears at @toystory win and @DisneyFrozen performance of @idinamenzel + many other global Elsas at the #oscars," they tweeted.

Another fan admitted they hadn't even seen Frozen 2 but they were still in floods of tears.

The powerful track was nominated for the Oscar for Best Music (Song) at tonight's 92nd Academy Awards, but lost out to Elton John's '(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again' from Rocketman.

It's been a night of celebrations for some of our favourite Hollywood A-listers this evening.

Brad Pitt picked up his first ever acting Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. *And* - somehow - he proved mullets can be sexy.

Meanwhile, Laura Dern won Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Marriage Story.
