Happy Friends Reunion day, people!

After what feels like decades of waiting, our favourite gang of New York pals reunited in 'The One Where They Got Back Together'.

While the much-anticipated one-off special is airing on Sky One later on tonight, many of us Friends enthusiasts decided to get up extra early to watch it when it dropped on NOW and HBO Go in the morning.

However, as literally everyone in the UK (scratch that, the whole world) is a Friends superfan, streamers hosting the reunion special appeared to crash due to overwhelmingly high demand - leaving many panicked.

Naturally, people desperate to see the Friends reunion vented their frustrations on Twitter.

"Reunion episode cancelled - the one where HBO Go crashes," wrote one disappointed fan.

A second added: "Wahhhh! What happened to HBO Go?"

"Wtf, am I not invited to the reunion?" a third wisecracked.

"I STILL CAN'T WATCH IT," a fourth ranted.

"I'm crying already and HBO Go decides to crash!" a fifth wrote.

It's little wonder we're all so feverish with excitement - the Friends reunion has been on the card for several years.

However, the special, which sees Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc reminisce about their time on the beloved sitcom, was delayed numerous times due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

One of the bombshell revelations the special makes was that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer secretly had feelings for each other as their characters, Rachel and Ross, hooked up.

Well, that explains their natural chemistry.

When quizzed by James Corden (who presents the special), Jennifer, 52, and David, 54, admitted they had crushes on one another.

David then explains the real-life romantic feelings between the pair and why they weren't able to become a couple off-screen. "At some point we were both crushing hard on each other," he says.

"But it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary and we both respected that."
