Friends fans, this is not a drill. You're soon going to be able to watch Ross Geller, Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay, Monica Geller and Rachel Green on the big screen.

Yep, that's right. The popular US sitcom is now screening in Showcase cinemas across the UK in December.

Sharing a video on its Facebook page, Showcase cinema unveiled the plans, which are in honour of the sitcom's 25th anniversary.

Much like the sitcom named its episodes, it teased the promotion as 'The One With The Anniversary,' revealing that it would be airing 12 episodes across three-dates.

Friends recently turned 25

Each screening will last one hour and 40 minutes, and feature four popular episodes back-to-back.

The first instalment (on Sunday 8th December) will show 'The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate,' 'The One with the Blackout,' and 'The One With The Birth,' finishing with 'The One Where Ross Finds Out' - aka the episode where Ross and Rachel's romance is born.

Meanwhile, the second (on Wednesday 11th December) will show 'The One With the Prom Video,' 'The One Where No One's Ready,' 'The One The Morning After,' and 'The One With The Embryos'.

Finally, on December 15th, 'The One With Chandler In A Box,' 'The One With Ross's Wedding Part 2,' 'The One Where Everyone Finds Out,' and 'The One Where Ross Got High,' will air.

Friends fans can watch the show on the big screen

For the screenings, the episodes will be restored in high quality, plus Showcase also teased that bonus content would be available.

Showcase has cinemas across the UK, in cities including Bristol, Liverpool, Nottingham, Southampton and Glasgow.

General entry tickets cost £13.30 for the screenings, while a child ticket costs £12. If you're a Showcase insider you can bag a ticket for the cheaper price of £11.25.

The cinema has made a name for itself by screening popular TV shows, also offering Love Island fans a chance to catch the final of this year's show on he big screen earlier this year.
