A 'Friends' Reunion Episode Is In The Works With The Whole Cast

Could we BE any more excited?

Public service announcement: A Friends reunion could be in the works. Oh. My. Godddd.

It's been 25 years since the show landed on our TV screens and changed our lives forever.

What would we possibly say on the rare occasion we pick up a sofa if it had never existed? Not pivottttttt, that's for sure. What would we say when we meet the one? Certainly not you're my lobster.

25 years later Friends is still a much-loved show. (

We've been pining for the cast of Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer to get back together for what seems like an age, and now new reports suggest they may very well do it.

Sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that the key characters and the creators of the show, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, are talking about reuniting...not for a full episode though.

Instead, they are in talks about an unscripted reunion special that will air on streaming service HBO Max.

Whilst there are reportedly talks of a reunion, nothing is signed and sealed just yet. (

While we won't get to see them in character, we're still pretty excited that the cast will all be together in documentary style format to reminisce about the show.

Sources warned Hollywood Reporter though, that while it's a potential, the deal is not even close to being done.

Agreements need to be drawn up, schedules aligned and the publication says "talks could fizzle and the whole concept could fall apart." We certainly hope not.

It's unsurprising this special reunion would feature on HBO Max, because the Friends series is set to move over to the streaming service away from Netflix in the USA (although don't worry just yet UK fans, we can still get out Friends fix on the site).

However, if the reunion is aired on HBO Max as planned, it is unclear how UK audiences will access it.

This new Warner Media-backed service has not confirmed whether it will be available in the UK, but we would hope another UK platform would at least acquire the rights to it.

The news comes after Jennifer Aniston recently sparked reunion rumours as she posted a picture of all the crew together in the same room last month and literally broke the internet in the process.

Plus, she revealed - somewhat cryptically - that she is "working on something" with her co-stars from the show.

She said: "We would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is. So we're just trying. We're working on something." Sounds positive to us!
