'Five Guys A Week' Kicks Off Tonight And Prepare To Be Hooked

It's a mash up between 'Come Dine With Me' and 'Love Is Blind'.

If you've been left with a Love Is Blind-shaped hole in your life ever since the Netflix show ended, we have good news - a new dating series drops tonight on Channel 4.

Five Guys A Week is basically the Come Dine With Me of dating shows - and we're convinced we will be hooked.

The new series sees one woman invite five 'locally sourced' men to live in her home - all at the same time - with the aim of whittling them down to just one by the end of the week.

She'll be getting to know them all at the same time. Kind of like Love Island - but with fewer contestants.

And wherever she goes, they will go - including work, dinner with the parents and meeting her mates for drinks. After all, it's important for each host to see how the men interact in all areas of her life.

Throughout the show, there'll be plenty of opportunity for the men to impress and at the end of each day, the woman will have to eliminate one man until she's left with her chosen partner at the end of the week.

But who will win her heart and will the week flourish into a budding romance afterwards? Think of it as a 'fast track' dating show - after all, do you *really* know someone, until you've lived with them?

Each episode focuses on a different woman and in tonight's episode we meet Amy, a 34-year-old marketing consultant.

Moving into her St Albans home is surfer Trystan, singer-songwriter Scott, stuntman Michael, fraud investigator Christian and government consultant Glenn.

"As much as I'd love to be confident enough to march right up to a guy I fancied in a pub, as a single woman I would go on a night out with my friends and only really chat to guys who approached me," said Amy.

"Essentially it was the guys doing the picking, so it was really empowering to realise the roles had been reversed. I learnt a lot about myself in doing so, and sometimes it wasn't easy, but overall it was a great experience."

The following episodes will focus on 32-year-old Kellie from Burnley, 30-year-old Hope - who is after an Ed Sheeran lookalike, 33-year-old Nina from Sunderland and 68-year-old Susan.

We cannot *wait* for this.

Five Guys A Week starts tonight, Tuesday 10th March, on Channel 4 at 9.15pm.
