First Dates has been known to raise a few eyebrows in its running, and the most recent episode was no exception after one of its romantic hopefuls revealed his unusual career path.

Tuesday evening's episode saw 29-year-old Siona meet Liam. She spoke for a little bit about the gap in her teeth, saying it "means you are going to be rich, successful, and that you are good in bed".

She then began her date with Liam, with the pair exchanging pleasantries about what they do and don't find attractive, before getting straight into the work chat.

Siona, who is looking for someone who is "outdoorsy, but not feral", revealed she's a mental health worker for a women's charity, but Liam had a much bigger reveal.

"I work for a genetics company," he explained, before elaborating on what that meant. "I basically sell bull semen," he added candidly, getting it all out in the open.

"Sorry, what?" Siona asked, as the bartender did a double take. "Bull? As in like, a male cow?"

"Semen," Liam boldly reiterated.

Still, Siona was interested: "To who?" she questioned. "Farmers," her date replied, and Sonia laughed in relief. "I was like, who's buying that?" she exclaimed, before asking what part of the sales process he was involved in.

"Are you asking me if I personally go to a bull and collect semen?" he asked, and she confirmed that was indeed what she wanted to know.

"No, I'm at the opposite end of it. I'm part of the sales and marketing side of things," Liam revealed, but Siona wasn't convinced. "So you're not getting your hands dirty?" she double checked, and Liam confirmed he wasn't giving bulls happy endings for a living.

Siona also asked whether or not bull semen sells for a lot, to which Liam revealed that the average is £100,000 a litre, leaving her stunned.

"I need to get into bulls!" she decided, jokingly saying that the part of the process she'd get involved in depends on where her "talent lies".

Despite Liam's unusual job, the rest of the date went well, with Siona opening up to Liam about her personal issues. The pair got along well and agreed to see one another again at the end of the date, too. That's a happy ending we do like to hear about!
