Oh how we would love for the First Dates restaurant to be real, and fantasise daily that the staff really show up for work everyday, giving love advice to singletons (and flirting up a storm themselves).
However, the staff of the hit Channel 4 show actually have day jobs (dreams crushed) and waitress Laura Tott just revealed she's now a qualified paramedic.
The bubbly waitress, known for her cupid-style serving, shared the news on Twitter: "I DID IT! I'm a registered paramedic. Tonight marks my first shift as a paramedic.
"Wanted to do this for as long as I can remember. Never been so excited/nervous."

Laura works alongside much-loved maitre d' Fred Sirieix, bartender Merlin Griffiths and fellow waiters Cici Coleman, Sam Conrad and Austin Ventour in the London-based, mock restaurant which sees potential matches sit down for a meal.
So will Laura's no doubt demanding new career mean she'll be saying goodbye to the restaurant? Luckily, she quelled our worries, adding in the post: "And yes of course I'll still be doing First Dates."
Before qualifying as a paramedic, Laura was in the navy in 2015 and then worked as an ambulance technician while training to be a paramedic.
As for the other First Dates staff, Fred works as the general manager at Galvin at Windows, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the London Hilton hotel on Park Lane.
