Fear The Walking Dead fans, we have some fantastic news - the show has set its return date and we can confirm that the popular Walking Dead spin-off will return with the second batch of season 6 episodes on Sunday, 11th April.
The news was confirmed by the show's official Twitter account with a rather ominous tweet that reads: "The end is the beginning."

The trailer for season 6B revealed the phrase in the tweet to be the mantra of a new group that will cause trouble for Virginia (Colby Minifie) and the Pioneers.

All of your favourite characters will be back to take on the nefarious Virginia and her Rangers. There will also be three brand new characters to help raise the stakes. Dexter and Madame Secretary star Keith Carradine will play one of the newcomers and the others will be played by Smallville actor John Glover and Carnivale star Nick Stahl.

Fans will have to wait until April to see whether the new cast members have anything to do with "the end is the beginning".

In October 2019, AMC announced that The Walking Dead had been renewed for an eleventh season, just prior to the tenth season premiere.

In September last year, AMC confirmed that the show would conclude with the eleventh season, covering 24 episodes broadcasted over a two-year broadcast period.
Season 11 will premiere later this year. It was originally planned to debut in October 2020, but Covid-19 led to its delay. Season 10 returns Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 9pm on AMC.
