Killing Eve fans have been gifted a late Christmas present this festive season as a new teaser trailer for the upcoming final instalment has been released.
The short 28-second trailer promises drama, deceit and a whole lot of Eve and Villanelle action in the fourth and final season, which set to air on February 27.

As the teaser begins, the sound of a clock ticking starts, suggesting that time is running out for the duo, and Fiona Shaw's character Carolyn Martens speaks over an anxiety-inducing soundscape.
She says: "Do you ever think what might have happened if we didn't do what we did?"
"People like us aren't made for happy lives or happy endings," her character is heard adding.
In between the feverish music, scenes of Villanelle attacking someone as a clown, Eve in an empty theatre and Carolyn spitting are spliced through.
As the drama crescendos, viewers see Villanelle injured and holding her arm while Eve rides alongside her in a powered scooter, uttering the words: "Wanna a ride?"

Understandably so, fans of the series were thrilled with the teaser and commented on social media in their droves.
One penned: "WHY DID A KILLING EVE TRAILER DROP ON A RANDOM MONDAY NIGHT I WASN'T PREPARED FOR THIS".
"TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KILLING EVE SEASON 4 IN 8 FREAKING WEEKS HOW WE FEELIN'," another enthused fan commented.
A third shared: "Killing eve S4 trailer FEATURES THE FLANNEL AND THE SCOOTER IM SCREAMING ALL I EVER WANTED".
Earlier this month, we were given a few stills of what to expect in season four - and it seems things are going to get weirder than ever.

Killer Villanelle, played to perfection by Jodie Comer, sported a red cassock typically associated with the Catholic church, with the assassin having turned to religion to try and redeem her past crimes.
We also saw Villanelle in a modest white dress with pink angel wings in the background, brandishing a gold crucifix - only further establishing her newfound faith.
Meanwhile Eve (Sandra Oh) was pictured out hunting her rival, donning a blonde wig and big sunnies as she tries to track down her nemesis.
Another shot saw Eve look bedraggled, staring into a fish tank, as well as Carolyn returning, sat by a swimming pool.

Killing Eve returns to BBC next year.
