Fans were left reeling after a groom organised a Loch Ness-themed wedding on Don't Tell The Bride.

Joiner Calvin, 31, made his 27-week pregnant bride Leanne, who hates the sea, travel more than 100 miles from their home in Aberdeen to marry in the middle of the Loch Ness, just seven months after meeting on Tinder.

But, viewers criticised the wedding, branding it the "worst ever" after Calvin arranged for his bride-to-be to go on a choppy boat ride to reach the jetty where there ceremony took place.

The journey, which took an hour, was made worse when water began to leak into the boat. It certainly didn't impress Leanne's mother, who commented that her future son-in-law was "f*cking dead".

Already a disaster, the day got worse as guests couldn't hear anything during the ceremony.

They were then forced to pay for their own food and drink in a local pub garden, instead of the usual wedding breakfast, because Calvin had spent £3,000 of his budget on a souvenir shop - which didn't actually make an appearance.

Even the groomsmen commented that the wedding was 'ridiculous'.

A local shop captain also warned Leanne could drown within 10 minutes if she fell into the loch on her way to the ceremony.

Needless to say, both wedding guests and viewers at home were unimpressed.

"This is the worst wedding I've ever been at," one guest said.

Many turned to social media to vent their frustrations at Calvin's bad decisions.

"What an awful wedding," one person tweeted, while another added: "Think that's the worst #DontTellTheBride I've watched yet. Can't believe he wasted £3,000 and ended up with that as a reception?"

There have been plenty of disastrous weddings on the show, including when a groom blew a quarter of the whole wedding budget on the stag do.

Instead of the traditional church wedding the bride wanted, she ended with with a 'Vegas-style' wedding in the UK.
