Family Looking For 'Real Life Professor Snape' As Tutor For Their Harry Potter Fan Son
An 11-year-old Harry Potter super fan is set to become an honorary Hogwarts student after his parents put out an ad for a 'real life Professor Snape' to teach him science.
The UK parents posted the unusual job advert on online agency Tutor House, stating that they were looking for someone similar to the iconic Harry Potter character - but unlike the mean-spirited Potions master, the parents are after someone who will make learning science fun for their child.
In their ad, the super cool parents explain that their son is "struggling with science lessons at school" so they are looking for someone to make lessons "as fun and as engaging as possible".
Among their requirements, they ask for someone who will create magical lessons by "transforming our kitchen into Hogwarts" and is willing to dress us as multiple Harry Potter characters, including Severus Snape himself.
They suggest: "For example, they could dress up as Professor Snape while teaching him chemistry in 'Potions' themed lessons, Professor Sprout whilst teaching biology through 'Herbology', and Professor Hooch while teaching him about physics in 'Flying Lessons'."
Erm, can we join in? Our science is a bit rusty these days.
The parents are hoping for the chosen candidate to teach their son once or twice a week after school, and are willing to pay a rather handsome £75 an hour for the right person.

On top of this, the parents will be paying for the props and accessories the chosen tutor will be required to bring along - including "wands, quills and other wizarding student accessories".
To apply, candidates must have at least four years' experience in teaching science and they need to know the JK Rowling series well. So you'd better get up-to-scratch on your HP knowledge if you're considering applying.
We think it sounds like the perfect excuse to binge all eight films this weekend.
Alex Dyer, founder of Tutor House, said: "We have hundreds of requests through the site a day and this is definitely not a normal one we'd see.
"As a Harry Potter lover, it made me very happy to see these parents creating an engaging environment so their son can have fun at his own Hogwarts whilst still learning."
They added: "If there are any tutors out there with a particular love of Harry Potter who think that they would be a perfect fit for the family, please apply!"
We've got a feeling we would have paid far more attention in science if Snape was teaching us.
