​Dove Cameron Remembers Cameron Boyce One Year After His Death With Emotional Tribute

In the latest news to make us cry, Descendants actress Dove Cameron has posted a heartfelt tribute to Cameron Boyce on the one year anniversary of the actor's death.

In the emotional Instagram post the star shared yesterday, she wrote: "One year without your light. something cosmic broke the day you left, something seemingly so impossible, so unjust, so unnatural."

The actress continued: "The universe cannot repair the gap in her weaving. you were huge. i will love you forever, just like this."

Alongside the sweet caption, Dove posted a set of photos of her and Cameron together, including behind-the-scenes shots of the two actors hugging, a second photo of them laughing together and a third of them posing for a pic together.

Cameron died last year after experiencing a seizure in his sleep, at the age of 20. He and Dove starred together on Disney's Descendants but were also friends.

In May the actress posted in honour of what would have been the star's 21st birthday and raise money for the The Cameron Boyce Foundation.

The foundation was set up to honour Cameron's legacy, seeking to reduce gun violence and helping to find a cure for epilepsy.

Dove wrote: "Your purchases and your donations to the Cameron Boyce foundation mean more to me, his family, his friends, and his entire community (and the causes that he cared about) than you will ever know.

In response to Dove's emotional post, others also shared their sadness at the star's passing.

Instagram user @wearedovelies posted: "can't believe it's been a year already. I'm sending all the love and support I possibly can to you and his loved ones, hope y'all are doing well.

They continued: "We all miss him so much but I'm sure he's looking at you from up there and he's proud of you and of what y'all are doing to keep his projects alive."

Meanwhile, @glxry.2 wrote: "I miss his warm smile every time I watch any of his movies or shows."

And @fatime_garza_ posted: "Rest in peace Cameron," with a dove emoji, "We will always remember you."
