Doctor Who is landing her Tardis right onto our screens for a brand new Christmas special, named Revolution of the Daleks.

As the name suggests, the new episode will see the return of one of the Doctor's most despised nemesis' - the Daleks - and this time, they're descending on Downing Street.

And a trailer now offers a sneak peek at the new ep, to whet our appetites for its drop over the Yuletide season.

Check it out below:

As a special Christmas treat, the episode will pull together tonnes of starry guest actors while Jodie Whittaker's Doctor is trapped in security space prison.

Stars include Sex and the City's Chris Noth, who is returning as Jack Robertson, Dame Harriet Walter, from Law & Order UK and The Crown, who is appearing as the Prime Minister, and Misfits star Nathan Stewart-Jarrett will also feature.

Another favourite making an appearance is Doctor Who OG John Barrowman, returning to his role as Torchwood's Captain Jack Harkness.

They'll have their work cut out for them, too, as the Dalek's descend on Downing Street. But what are they up to?!

Discussing Revolution of the Daleks, showrunner Chris Chibnall enthused: "We've crammed this year's Doctor Who Festive Special with an explosion of extraordinary acting talent.

Where else would you get British acting royalty, a globally renowned US screen star, an (inter)national treasure of stage and screen and one of Britain's hottest young actors - just in the guest cast?"

"Put those together with Jodie Whittaker, Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole (and Daleks! Did I mention Daleks!) - and you get a cast to be exterminated for. And things will explode. Promise."

The special will air on New Year's Day 2021, so mark your calendars now.

Sci-fi fanatics, this sounds like it isn't one to miss.
