A new Beauty and the Beast land is set to open in Tokyo Disneyland next week as part of the Japanese park's largest ever expansion - and its sounds like heaven for fans of the whimsical film.

The new 47,000-square meter expansion project - opening to the public on 28th September - spans Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Toontown. But it's nestled in the Fantasyland zone where the most highly-buzzed about addition to the park will live...

Entering the gates of the new Beauty and the Beast land, guests will instantly be immersed in the world of the story as they walk through a life-sized version of the quaint French village where Belle lives.

Visitors will walk past Belle's father Maurice's Cottage before walking to the centre of the village, where they'll find a foundation dedicated to Gaston and a restaurant, La Taverne de Gaston, where they can dine.

Inside the stately Beauty and the Beast castle is where guest will find the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast attraction.

Guests will board magical cups that dance in rhythm with classic songs from the movie's famous soundtrack.

"One of the biggest ingredients of this fantastic attraction is the classic music from the original film - 'Be Our Guest', 'Something There', and 'Beauty and the Beast'," Walt Disney Imagineering executive creative director, Ted Robledo told Attractions Magazine.

"We know that's what guests are expecting, and we deliver that in a brand new way."

Afterwards, guests will be able to pursue the shops in Belle's village including Belle Librairie, Bonjour Gifts and Little Town Traders.

Disney Parks recently released a behind-the-scenes video of the incredible zone being built, which you can watch here:

Elsewhere in the park, the expansion has seen new attractions added to Tomorrowland - such as The Happy Ride with Baymax - and Toontown - where Minnie's Style Studio, a dress up and photo area, has been added.

Tokyo Disneyland reopened in July after closing amid the coronavirus pandemic with staffing setting up to introduce guests to the expansion.

We have a feeling the new Beauty and the Beast land is going to be a huge hit with fans.
