Disney Teases First Look At Live-Action 'Lady And The Tramp' Remake

With Dumbo, Aladdin and The Lion King leading the way in their latest live-action venture, classic Disney film, Lady and The Tramp, is next.

With not many Disney classics left to get the live-action treatment, the world's most famous mouse has teased a glimpse of the remake of Disney's classic fur-baby film: Lady and the Tramp.

A first look of the revamp was spotted during new streaming platform, Disney+'s announcement event on Thursday.

Walt Disney's direct to consumer chairman, Kevin Mayer, was showing off the user interface of the exciting new streaming platform when a photo of a real-life Lady and the Tramp appeared on screen.

It's reported that the upcoming film is being directed by Charlie Bean, produced by Bringham Taylor and was written by Andrew Bujalski.

Tessa Thompson (Thor: Ragnarok, Sorry to Bother You) will play the voice of Lady and Justin Theroux (The Leftovers, Mulholland Drive) will voice the Tramp.

Janelle Monae, Thomas Mann, Kiersey Clemons, Benedict Wong, Ashley Jensen, and Yvette Nicole Brown have also been casted to play doggy characters.

The live-action version of Lady and the Tramp will be available in the US at launch of the forthcoming streaming platform (set to rival the likes of Netflix, Hayu and more) on 12th November 2019.

Disney+ is set to house its classic films along with its Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar titles and a bevy of original projects in both movies and TV.

Disney+ is also starting off with a cheaper price than a Netflix subscription at $6.99 per month (£5.35). Netflix's pricing starts at £7.99 per month.
