According to Deadline, Maya is set to play a villain in the sequel with Yvette and Jayma also "potentially" taking on evil characters.

We are so excited for this!

It's expected production on the sequel will begin later this spring, with Adam Shankman directing. Meanwhile Barry Josephson, Adams, and Barry Sonnenfeld are serving as producers, with Brigitte Hales penning the script.

While there are limited details on the plot of the upcoming movie, the official synopsis for the sequel explains: "Ten years after her happily ever after, Giselle questions her happiness, inadvertently turning the lives of those in the real world and Andalasia upside down in the process."

Sounds so intriguing!

The first movie, Enchanted was a huge success and grossed more than £245m world wide. It was also nominated for for three Best Song Oscars for 'Happy Working Song', 'So Close' and 'That's How You Know'.

It focussed on the story of Giselle, a young woman who lives in the fairytale land of Andalasia. She falls in love with the handsome Prince Edward, but when she comes to marry her prince, his stepmother sends her down a well where she ends up in New York City.

She meets Robert (Patrick Dempsey) and the pair hit it off, but things get complicated when Prince Edward embarks upon a rescue mission to being her back home.

While it's not clear when the sequel will hit cinemas, we've got everything crossed it's early next year!
