For us, it just wouldn't be Christmas without a bit of Wallace & Gromit action - and it turns out that DFS agree.

The sofa giants have partnered with the Nick Park's iconic clay duo for a mega-cute animated Christmas advert titled A Comfy Carol.

The 30-second ad sees Wallace dragging poor Gromit around the frosty winter streets to showcase his latest invention to the neighbourhood.

The giant 'Ewe-Phonia' sleigh is filled with carol singing sheep, who give neighbours a rendition of Deck The Halls.

"Hurry along, lad! Just one more street and we'll beat our record!" says an enthusiastic Wallace.

But as the pair pull their contraption up to one house, Gromit begins to feel the cold and starts shivering.

He gazes longingly through the window of the house, where a family are kicking back on their comfy DFS sofas, enjoying the warmth.

Following their performance, Wallace & Gromit are invited inside, where they snuggle up to eat mince pies around a crackling fire.

"Over the winter months our living rooms play an even bigger role for many families. Krow's new campaign captures the much-loved, Christmas mood, with an injection of Wallace & Gromit classic humour," says Nick Ashworth, Marketing Director at DFS.

Aardman Director, Will Becher, one of the brains behind the ad, said: "I'm thrilled to be bringing Wallace & Gromit back to our screens for this special Christmas spot with DFS, in a warm and wonderful winter tale - involving carol singing sheep.

"Having previously directed a feature film, it's been a great challenge to discover just how much heart and comedy we can pack into 30 seconds. 'A Comfy Carol' is Aardman's first production to complete since lockdown in March, and it felt like the perfect story to bring these well-loved characters back to life in the studio."
