PSA: we finally have a release date for Dead To Me season 2 PLUS we finally have a trailer.

The hit dark comedy, which first landed on screens in May 2019, finally has a release date for the second instalment - which we're thrilled about considering there was one major loose end at the end of the last one.

Netflix has just announced, the comedy starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini is returning on May 8th - that's in less than a month!

The streaming platform announced the news with a tweet, along with a juicy first-look trailer at the season.

"No one can ever know what happened. Except us. Dead To Me Season 2 premieres May 8 on Netflix," read the cryptic tweet. Oooo, you do tease us, Netflix.

To recap, the 10-part series followed the lives of two widows Jen (Applegate) and Judy (Cardellini) who form an unlikely friendship after meeting at a bereavement support group.

Jen, a real estate agent, is mourning her husband who was killed in a hit-and-run accident, while struggling to come to terms with the anger and resentment she feels at her loss. At the same time, Judy grieves her fiancé who died of a heart attack.

The women forge an unlikely friendship despite their different approaches to grief. However, Judy harbours a dark secret: she was involved in the death of Jen's husband, and her own isn't really dead.

The brand new trailer (which you can watch above), shows Jen and Judy navigate the aftermath of the killing their were involved in.

*Major spoiler* - series one ended with Jen killing Judy's husband Steve (James Marsden).
