After binge-watching Dead To Me and Grace and Frankie, we had some feelings. These Netflix shows are similar. Like, *really* similar.
Could their lead protagonists actually be the same person?!
After all, the similarities between Jen (Christina Applegate) and Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) and Judy (Linda Cardellini) are certainly hard to miss, give or take a few decades.
It turns out we weren't the only ones with the theory. Take a look on Twitter and people are even suggesting that Dead To Me could be a prequel of the 2015 Netflix comedy - as if Jen and Grace moved to San Diago and renamed themselves, or something...

"Dead To Me is actually a prequel to Grace and Frankie," one fan of both shows wrote after watching the latest series.
While another agreed: "Dead To Me is the dark traumedy prequel to Grace and Frankie that I've been dreaming of!".
"Dead To Me is basically the prequel to Grace and Frankie. #singlesoulsisters," a third penned.

Of course, it doesn't take Einstein to work out the links between the two Netflix shows.
For one, both women are intrinsically linked by the men in their lives and have a sort of 'soul mate' bond that they can't call quits on, however much they sometimes wish they could.
Both Grace and Jen are proud, and somewhat emotionally unstable, but at the same time caring and passionate.

Meanwhile, Frankie and Judy are both whimsical and away with the fairies - the antithesis of their best friends, and yet the perfect match.
And, what's more, the shows may even be filmed in some of the same locations, according to one eagle-eyed Reddit user.
We're so down with this theory tbh. Here's to hoping that Dead To Me season 3 ends with a fast-forward into the future and Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin appear...
