There were a lot of shocking revelations from the Friends reunion, including David Schwimmer admitting he hated working with his former on-screen pet Marcel the Monkey.

Animal handler Mike Morris, has responded by suggesting Schwimmer might have been jealous because the monkey was getting "a lot of laughs" from the studio audience.

The unlikely feud was brought to our attention when Schwimmer claimed Marcel was terrible to work with because of the multiple takes he had to do. "Obviously it was trained and it had to hit its mark and do its thing right at the perfect time," he said during the reunion special, adding: "But what inevitably began to happen was we would all have choreographed bits kind of timed out and it would get messed up because the monkey didn't do its job right."

Morris would feed the monkeys "live grubs" as it was sitting on Schwimmer's shoulder which the Madagascar actor did not like at all. "I'd have monkey grubby hands all over," he added.

In an interview with The Sun, Morris said Schwimmer was fine with the monkeys on set but eventually "turned on them" and became "bitter."

"Of course, I didn't watch the reunion interview but I heard from others what Schwimmer said," he said.

"I just don't agree with it, if anything he threw off their timing if we want to be truthful.

"Schwimmer was fine with the monkeys for the first couple of episodes and happy to be there.

"But people would laugh at the monkey and I think he got jealous because it wasn't him getting the laughs.
