'Disturbing' David Letterman Interview Sees Talk Show Host Sucking Jennifer Aniston's Hair

A bizarre clip showing David Letterman sucking a strand of Jennifer Aniston's hair has been raising eyebrows after it resurfaced online.

Describing the video as "disturbing" viewers were in shock over the clip - which taken from a 1998 interview - in which the talk show host, now 73, can be seen placing one hand on Jennifer's neck before sucking a strand of the actress' hair.

It comes as fans are reflecting on the past treatment of female celebrities in the wake of the Framing Britney Spears documentary which aired in the US and the UK this week.

Just five minutes into the interview, Letterman says: "Forgive me if this is rude, I just want to try one thing" before coming up behind Jen, who looks visibly uncomfortable.

The host then puts one hand on Jen's neck, before leaning in. At this point, the Friends star squeals and says: "What are you doing?"

Letterman then reaches for a strand of Jennifer's hair and bizarrely, begins sucking it. Moments later, he returns to his desk and passes Jen a tissue.

"Sorry, something to do with the steam room," says Letterman, referring to an earlier conversation in which Jen was telling the host about being approached by two fans in a steam room.

She then says: "That's something I'll never forget." To which Letterman replies: "Well you scared the hell out of me. I was like that and all of a sudden you screamed. How did you think I felt? You ruined it for me. Are you happy?"

"I'm so sorry!" Jen replies. "What was I thinking?"

The actress then goes on to discuss the new film she is promoting, before she gets interrupted by Letterman, who says: "You're still traumatised aren't you?"

Since the clip resurfaced this week, fans have been taking to social media to discuss the interview, with one tweeting: "This is disgusting behaviour from David Letterman."

While another said: "Tell me I didn't just see a video of David Letterman sucking on Jennifer Aniston's hair on national TV."

And one added: "There is a disgusting video where David Letterman harasses Jennifer Aniston, licks her hair and invades her space."

Meanwhile, one tweeted: "Can't get over how creepy and disturbing this clip of Jennifer Aniston on Letterman is."

In the resurfaced clip, Letterman asks a series of probing questions about her personal struggles with alcohol, drug use and rehab in front of a live studio audience.
