Could Footballers' Wives Be Making A Comeback?

It's been over 12 years since the end of Footballer's Wives, but fans of the show have been keeping their fingers crossed that the show will make an epic comeback...

But could the ITV series starring Gary Lucy, Susie Amy, Gillian Taylforth, Zöe Lucker, Ben Price,Tanya Laslet, Alison Newman, Cristian Solimeno and Nathan Constance actually be making a return to screens?

Back in 2017, Gary, who played Kyle Pascoe in the glam series, massively teased fans when asked about whether the show would be rising out of the ashes.

When questioned by Now Magazine, the actor replied: "Maybe in some form... watch this space is all I can say.

"It was an outrageous and fantastic thing to be a part of, so a reunion may be on the cards, you'll have to wait and see."

Gary's character, Kyle, was last seen running from the police, and fans still want answers.

The actor told the magazine: "Kyle was last seen running from the police, so I have no idea what happened to them. Just sit tight and everything I said will make sense."

Footballers' Wives was cancelled back in 2006 after four years on our screens, with the decision to pull the plug being made by producers after plummeting viewer ratings in the fifth series.

The show centred around a group of footballers from a premier league club, and all the drama surrounding their very glamorous WAGs.

There was plenty of dramatic storylines too, including murder, affairs and even substance abuse.

If the series did come back on screens, fans might finally learn what happened to Zöe's character Tanya Turner. The fifth series ended on a nail-biting cliffhanger that left viewers screaming at their tellies. Tanya was offered poisoned drugs, before the show abruptly came to an end.

There has been a mini Footballers' Wives reunion since the show, with on-screen couple Gary (Kyle) and Susie (Chardonnay) making an appearance together on Loose Women last year...

Seeing the stars together again sent Twitter into meltdown, with people begging producers to get the show back on telly.

Let's just keep our fingers and toes crossed, guys and gals.
