Come Dine With Me is officially returning to Channel 4, and they're looking for contestants.

Yep, if you think you could be the next best dinner party host, then what are you waiting for? Whack out your apron and show us what you've got.

Channel 4 are looking for people who are free to wine and dine their rivals over the course of a filming week, putting on their best dinner spread in the hopes of winning a £1000 cash prize.

If you're interested, you simply have to email [email protected] and explain why you want to take part in the show.

There aren't any further details about what you need to say in your application, so we'd advise you just get creative.

After all, the key is standing out, showing you've got a winning personality and culinary chops, to boot!

The team have promised that they plan to get back to as many people as possible, so, what are you waiting for?

The channel is also recruiting for Couples Come Dine With Me, a spin on the original format which sees couples compete together for the prize money. Each episode includes three couples competing.

For that, you need to fill out a form, which you can find here.

We're sure you need no introduction to Come Dine With Me, but just in case, the premise is that a group of amateur chefs each host a dinner party, before rating each other's meals for the chance to win a cash prize.

It's provided us with some scenes of true TV gold over the years, including that of Peter, whose iconic rant at poor old Jane will forever go down in the show's history.

You can check that out below:

Other key characters have included season one's Stuart, who infamously aimed to combine two British favourites - the full English breakfast and the curry.

And who could forget Tina, who got caught out for her minimal effort after she served her guests tinned curry, a bag of pre-cooked rice and shop bought flatbreads in season 35.

*Brb, we're off to prep our menu.*
