Coleen Nolan has broken her silence for the first time since leaving Loose Women earlier this month.

Following a confrontation with Kim Woodburn on the daytime show, Coleen faced a backlash - which left her feeling unable to continue as a panelist...

Taking to social media on Thursday morning, Coleen tweeted a quote that read: "Change your thoughts. Transform your life." with a sunset in the background.

Fans rushed to support Coleen and sent her messages of encouragement.

One user wrote: "Missing seeing u on loose women. Please please come back Coleen xxx[sic]".

Another added: "Coleen you have to come back on loose women. Its not the same without you . Hope to see you back soon you are a lovely lady lots of love xx[sic]".

Last week Coleen also retweeted a tweet from her friend Melanie Barker who wrote: "Heard @NolanColeen laugh today for the first time in what seems like ages... it was a lovely moment #teamcoleen".

The 53-year-old presenter and singer, left the panel show after she received backlash from an interview with Kim Woodburn.

Coleen also pulled out of her solo music tour after viewers accused her of 'bullying' the How Clean Is Your House? star.

Kim was reduced to tears as she came face-to-face with Coleen who she had previously labelled a 'two faced maggot'.

Janet Street Porter had attempted to resolve the pairs 18 month feud after they both appeared on Celebrity Big Brother together and became enemies.

However, Kim ended up in tears as she explained the 'bullying' she experienced in the house.

The awkward exchange ended with Kim calling Coleen 'trash' and storming off stage.

Her management issued a statement saying that Coleen would be taking an 'immediate hiatus' from her TV and music roles.

It read: "Following the constant online bullying, trolling and misrepresentation of her words actions and reactions, it is with sad regret that Coleen is taking an immediate hiatus from all her current commitments including Loose Women and postponing her Never Too Late solo concert tour.

"Coleen has spent 50 years in showbusiness and 18 years as one of the most loved members of the Loose Women panel, and has never been subjected to such a horrifying torrent of online abuse of such a heart-breaking attack on her reputation."

The statement, which was shared on Coleen's Twitter account, read: "Coleen is devastated to let her supporters and fans down, but is currently not strong enough to withstand this constant and unfounded online abuse, so she will be taking time out and spending it with her children and family where she feels loved and respected.

"She sends her love to everyone who has supported her and knows who she really is and plans to return when she feels stronger."
