PSA, Clueless fans: a reboot of the 90s classic is said to be in the works - and it'll focus on Cher's fashion-loving BFF, Dionne.
Currently in development for subscription video-on-demand streaming service Peacock, Variety reports that the spin-off will look at what happens to Dionne when her best pal Cher is no longer around.
A cast and air date for the project have not yet been announced - but we'll update you as soon as we know more.

The setting is modern, which means swapping out 90s slang and fashion for 2020 equivalents - although, let's be honest, a whole lot of those trends have carried over.
Variety describe the reboot as "a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sun-glasses wearing, oat milk latte and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong number two Dionne steps into Cher's vacant Air Jordans."
Now that she's taking on the crown of the most popular girl in school, how will Dionne cope under the pressure? And beyond that, what has happened to her best friend?
Whatever the answers, we're thrilled to see the tired template of a black female actress being relegated to a 'best friend' or 'side kick' role being flipped on its head, with Dionne put front and centre.

Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey will serve as writers and executive producers on the reboot.
Released in 1995, the original movie starred Alicia Silverstone as lead character Cher and Stacey Dash as her ride-or-die Dionne.
The plot was loosely based on Jane Austen's novel Emma, relocating the action to an American high school setting.

Starring Brittany Murphy and Paul Rudd alongside Silverstone and Dash, the film went on to become a cult classic, inspiring a US TV adaptation and even 2018's Clueless: The Musical, which debuted onstage in New York.
We can't wait for this new reimagining of the 90s megahit!
