Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause has opened up about her divorce from Justin Hartley, saying it was "traumatising".

The 38-year-old real estate agent divorced the This Is Us actor last year after two years of marriage and was said to be blindsided by the split.

Speaking on the RealiTea with Derek Z podcast, the reality star explained: "Unfortunately, I'm in a position where more has been shared that I would have ever chosen because this was not a choice that I made."

Chrishell said her pain was compounded by the fact her divorce was played out on screen. It was mentioned at the end of the second series of the reality show, with a tearful Chrishell reacting to the celebrity split being splashed across the Internet.

She went on: "Nor was this the timing that I would have chosen while I was filming a show, so I'm already in a position where so much has been shared that I wouldn't have opted for.

"It's an embarrassing, humiliating type of thing to go through without cameras and without people judging you, so I just hope people are gentle when they watch.

"We're real people. This was a traumatising time in my life and it's going to be hard for me to watch it myself."

Chrishell and Justin's divorce is expected to play out in the third series of the show, airing on 7th August.

Selling Sunset follows real estate agents - Mary, Christine, Chrishell, Maya, Heather and Davina - working in LA's lucrative property market as they attempt to navigate their work and personal lives.

The agents, part of Oppenheim Group, owned by twin brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim, work the highly-competitive market selling luxury homes to some of the district's richest clients.

Season 3 is expected to feature much of the same, including the fallout from Chrishell's split.

As we all know, time is a healer and we hope Chrishell feels better soon.
