It has been confirmed that I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! will once again be filmed in the UK for 2021.

The popular reality TV series, which usually sees a handful of celebrities live in the Australian jungle for three weeks, was forced to relocate to Gwrych Castle in North Wales last year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

And now, Richard Arnold has seemingly let slip that we won't be heading Down Under when the series returns later this year.

The showbiz correspondent, 51, also hinted he may be part of this year's line-up, as he spoke on Good Morning Britain.

Quizzing Richard about the new series of I'm a Celebrity... host Susanna Reid asked: "Did I hear it right, you said earlier that you would be up for going into the jungle, I mean castle?"

Looking slightly uncomfortable, Richard explained that "wouldn't rule it out".

Susanna then asked: "So is it going to take place in the castle again?", which Richard confirmed, before changing topic.

The news comes after Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison revealed he was reluctant to open borders to international visitors - with the country having shut their borders entirely when Covid-19 initially started to spread.

Australia's budget plan this week has revealed that the country intnds to keep international "low until mid 2022, after which a gradual recovery in tourism is assumed to occur."

A source for ITV had previously explained that talks were ongoing, telling The Mirror: "I'm A Celebrity will happen this year, it is just a case of deciding the location."

A show insider told Tyla: "No decisions have been made regarding the location for the new series and we have contingencies and plans in place for all possible options."

The 20th season of the show was still as hugely popular as ever despite heading to Wales, with Giovanna Fletcher being crowned the show's first ever 'Queen of the Castle' in 2020.

Radio host Jordan North came a close second, while TV presenter Vernon Kay made third place.
