If you enjoy scaring yourself silly, you'll no doubt have had the Candyman sequel - which was due for cinema release this month - etched it your mental diary.
Due to lockdown, the 12th June release date for the follow on from the 1992 horror has been pushed back.
Instead, the terrifying film - produced by Get Out's Jordan Peele - will now be hitting UK cinemas on 25th September. That's three whole months to psych yourself up.
In the mean time, the film's director Nia DaCosta has released a short teaser (following the official trailer released in February) told entirely through shadow puppets.
Oddly terrifying considering its all made out of paper, the short gives a taster of what's to come in the feature length film.
Candyman will tell the story of visual artist Anthony McCoy (played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and his girlfriend and gallery director Brianna Cartwright (Teyonah Parris) who move into a luxury condo in the Cabrini neighbourhood in Chicago, where the events of the original film were set.
Anthony begins researching the urban legend of the Candyman (played by Tony Todd from the 90s original) - a terrifying killer who appears if you say his name five times into a mirror - as stimulus for his art.
Investigating the Candyman's last known whereabouts, strange killings begin to occur around the artist. Creeeeepy.
An official trailer for the movie was released in February and it shows five girls putting the Candyman theory to test in their school toilets.
After repeating the fateful words, the girls believe nothing happens. "Well, we're still alive," one says prematurely, before they suddenly realise the've become trapped in the toilet.
What ensues can only be described as a blood bath, only hidden by fast camera cuts. *Shudders.*
We've got a feeling we won't be able to look in a mirror again after watch this...
Candyman is coming on 25th September 2020.
