'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Has Just Released A Trailer For Season Seven

Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans, we've got a Friday treat for you! The NBC show has just released a brand new trailer for season seven and it seems to have had a retro 80s makeover.

The cop comedy released the teaser clip last night, which features all our favourite characters and fans have been going wild on social media.

The hilarious police comedy focuses on a team of detectives in New York, including Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) and Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti).

News of a seventh series was announced just under a year ago and ever since, fans have been patiently waiting for a glimpse of the latest instalment.

NBC has revealed the new series will be 13 episodes long, but haven't clarified whether there will be any sneaky extras.

Fans will remember how the sixth season of the show was also believed to have just 13 episodes, but ended up with an additional five, much to our delight.

Melissa Fumero, who plays Amy Santiago in the comedy took to Instagram earlier this week, confirming that season seven would be hitting screens on 6th February - meaning there's only a matter of weeks to wait.

While US fans will be able to watch the show on NBC, UK fans may have slightly longer to wait as Netflix hasn't yet confirmed when it will air.

Mega Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans will be pleased to hear NBC has already confirmed a season eight, too.

The show announced the news in November, sharing a video on its Twitter page.

"Good things come to those who w8. The #Brooklyn99 squad will be coming back for Season 8 on NBC!" It wrote.

The thought of both a season seven and a season eight on the horizon is *almost* too much excitement to handle...
