Bridgerton fans have been desperate for an update on the Ton since the nation collectively binged its way through the Netflix bodice-ripper last Christmas.

And we have good news, dear readers, as the cast has been spotted filming in London just this week.

Stars including Jessica Madsen (aka Daphne's sometime nemesis, Cressida Cowper) were seen donning their Regency finery to film a scene in Greenwich, south London on Tuesday.

It comes just weeks after Lady Whistledown left fans heartbroken with the news that Regé-Jean Page would not be returning to the Shondaland period drama as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings.

Netflix confirmed that season 2 was in the works back in January, following the monumental success of the show's first season which dropped on the streaming platform on Christmas Day.

The next instalment of the steamy period drama is based on the second Bridgerton book, The Viscount Who Loved Me, which focuses on eldest son Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his search for a wife.

Set a year after the events of the first book, titled The Duke and I, Anthony has decided it's time for him to settle down. However, things don't quite go to plan when he sets his sights on Edwina Sheffield.

Edwina has an older half sister, Kate, who after hearing about Anthony's reputation, is desperate to put a stop to the match.

But after months of bickering, Anthony and Kate find themselves increasingly drawn to one another. Despite fighting their desire, in the end they simply cannot.

Of course, the TV adaptation could have some differences here and there, but it's expected Season 2 will have all the binge-watching qualities of the first instalment - and we cannot wait!
