It's official. The trailer for the Harley Quinn movie Birds Of Prey has dropped and we never thought we'd say this, but it looks even better than Suicide Squad.
Starring Margot Robbie - who is reprising her role from 2016's Suicide Squad - the full movie will be entitled Birds Of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), which is a bit of a mouthful, tbh.

But the trailer looks exciting as we'd hoped, showing Harley team up with powerful females The Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) to protect Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) after she comes into the possession of a diamond which leaves her in grave danger.
The diamond belongs to an infamous criminal named Black Mask, played by Ewan McGregor, and needless to say, he isn't happy.
The trailer begins with Harley telling her new comrades on how to survive in their criminal world as she recovers from her split from The Joker.

She says coldly before downing a shot: "Do you know what a harlequin is? A harlequin's role is to serve, it's nothing without a master and no one gives two sh*ts who we are beyond that."
Looking for a "fresh start", she assembles her girl squad to take down Black Mask, but from the trailer it isn't going to be easy.
Packed with high-octane fight scenes, explosions and an homage to Madonna's Material Girl video, you can be sure it's going to be a good one.

And Harley isn't one to be underestimated as she warns her enemies: "I'm the one they should be scared of, not you, not Mr J because I'm Harley frickin' Quinn."
Damn straight you are!
While the two-minute trailer gives little away, eagle-eyed fans will notice that Harley's tribute tattoos to her ex beau, The Joker, are also covered up, after their relationship ended during Suicide Squad.

This is the official first look at the Harley Quinn movie, although some lucky fans caught a glimpse while watching IT Chapter Two, where Warner Bros treated cinema goers to an early teaser.
The official trailer comes after the production company released four exciting movie posters to tease the film's release, posting on social media: "Let's launch this sh*t".
Harley Quinn first debuted in Batman: The Animated Series, and then appeared in many of the comics.

She's known for her pair of pet Hyenas, named Bud and Lou, who also make their debut in the new movie.
Birds of Prey (and The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) arrives in cinemas on Friday, February 7th 2020.
